OUT OF BODY

Group Exhibition: William Harris Gallery at Rochester Institute of Technology

To be out of body is to be in the spiritual realm, in magic–the preternatural, the psychedelic; it is to be with death and decay, in darkness, to get lost in a narrative or in nature; it is found in fantasy, rootlessness, projection and distortion. To be out of body is to go inside in order to find a way out.

This two-part thesis exhibition of the MFA in Photography and Related Media program represents the culmination of two years of photographic studio practice for eleven students under the guidance and support of a community of program faculty and cohort peers.
