Plant Developer (Spinach)

Water Rinse

Traditional Fixer

PROCESS STEPS

  1. Spinach Developer, 3.5 minutes, pH 10.3, 30C - Agitate for first 30 seconds, then 3 rotations each minute.

  2. Water Rinse, 2 minutes - Continuous agitation

  3. Replace Water and Rinse for additional 2 minutes (occasional agitation)

  4. Fixer, 6 minutes 21C - Agitate for first 30 seconds, then one rotation each 30 sec.

  5. Open Tank – Pour Fixer into container for silver recovery

  6. Wash – Water Bath 5 minutes, agitation

  7. Wash – Replace water, 5 minutes with Photo-Flo

  8. Dry

Recipe

1000ml of Spinach Concentrate (see below)

180g Washing Soda

40g Vitamin C

Spinach Concentrate

This can be made the day before and be refrigerated. Regulate to proper temp and add washing soda and vitamin C right before using.

  • Water 3800ml

  • Spinach ~735g

  • Hammer/Crush material

  • Boil 30minutes (with lid)

  • Steep 1 hour (with lid)

  • Strain w/ cheese cloth

  •  Creates 2900ml of concentrate
