Plant Developer (Rhododendron)

Water Rinse

Traditional Fixer

1. Rhododendron Developer (w KBr), 11 minutes, 30C - Agitate for first 30 seconds, then 3 rotations each minute.

2. Water Rinse, 2 minutes

3. Continuous agitation

4. Replace Water and Rinse for additional 2 minutes (occasional agitation)

5. Fixer, 6 minutes 21C - Agitate for first 30 seconds, then one rotation each 30 sec.

6. Open Tank – Pour Fixer into container for silver recovery

7. Wash – Water Bath 5 minutes, agitation

8. Wash – Replace water, 5 minutes with Photo-Flo

9. Dry

Recipe

• 1000ml of Rhododendron Concentrate

• 180g Washing Soda

• 40g Vitamin C

• 1g KBr

Rhododendrum Concentrate

This can be made the day before and be refrigerated. Regulate to proper temp and add washing soda, vitamin C and KBr right before using.

• Water 3000ml

• 663g Rhododendrum leaves (some stalks)

•  Hammer/Crush material

• Boil 30minutes (with lid)

• Steep 1 hour (with lid)

• Strain w/ cheese cloth

• Creates 2300ml of concentrate
